Do I need a passport to travel?
YES. For US citizens, travel to Jamaica requires a valid passport. A passport alone will work.
If you don't bring the right documentation to the airport you won't be allowed to board the plane and we'll have to forfeit your entire trip with no refund at all (and we would really hate for that to happen).
What if I’m not a US citizen and want to travel out of the US?
If you are a foreign national talk with your local consulate to secure the necessary documents needed to travel to your chosen destination. Failure to bring the proper documentation will result in your being denied boarding at the airport and the forfeiture of your entire trip, Red Eye Vavactions will not assume responsibility for these situations, but is available to answer questions!
Should I bring Travelers Checks or Cash on my vacation?
Red Eye Vacations suggests that you take a combination of both, while you will need some cash during travel and upon arrival, for security reasons we suggest that you keep the bulk of your spending money as Traveler’s Checks. Then only cash enough to get you through a day or two at a time. This keeps your spending money safe and will prevent you from having to reconvert funds back to US dollar which can result in a poor exchange rate.
What is the currency rate where I’m traveling to?
Although you can use US dollar almost anywhere you go we suggest you use the local currency because you will be given a better exchange rate. For the current exchange rate go to http://www.oanda.com/converter/travel. We suggest you print out a “cheat sheet” and carry it with you so you have a better understanding of what you are paying.
Is there a hotel damage deposit?
The damage deposit is 100% refundable. It is paid directly to your hotel and will be returned at the close of your stay if no damage has been done. If you are given a check-in damage sheet fill it out fully to ensure you will not be charged for something that was already there and you did not do. Deposits range from $25 to $100 a person, or some hotels charge by the room which usually does not go over $400 a room.
Are my meals included in this tournament package?
Breakfast is included with your package and you can purchase an optional dinner meal plan.
I want to call home when I get there, how can I do that?
If you are traveling outside the US it is usually very expensive to call home!! Calling collect should be your last resort! Red Eye Vacations will have calling cards or other options available for sale onsite.
Is there a drinking age outside the US?
Yes, the drinking age in Jamaica, is 18 years old. Red Eye Vacations does not condone the use of alcohol by those under the legal drinking age and in no way encourages intoxication.
What happens when I arrive at my destination?
As soon as you clear Customs and Immigration you will be greeted by an on-site staff member. They will then direct you to your prearranged transportation from the airport and your hotel. They will also inform you of where to go for your orientation, meal plans (if purchased) and an itinerary for the week.
Will my electrical products work on my trip?
Yes, every destination we offer uses 110 volts @ 50 cycles, so all your electrical appliances should work fine.
Are there any hidden fees or taxes I’ll have to pay?
All taxes, processing fees & event fees will be added to your quote as well as any optional selections you add to your package unless specified differently in your package details.
When will I receive my travel documents?
Travel documents are sent out to the group leader 5 to 10 days prior to your departure date once all accounts are paid in full from your group.
How many bags am I allowed to bring?
You can bring 2 bags and a small carry-on bag on all packages including airfare.
Is my trip chaperoned?
No, they are not. You are treated as adults and there are no mandatory activities or curfew times. There is however an on-site staff and 24 hour office number to call in case of emergencies and questions to assist you if the need arises.
Is my flight going to be non-stop?
Although we do not guarantee a direct and/or non-stop flight, most of our travelers will be on direct, non-stop flights from their chosen departure city to their destination and back.

What if I pay late?
Not a wise idea! So reservations not paid in full at the due date are cancelled (you loose all money paid in). Reservations may by reinstated with a reinstatement fee (must be paid by money order) but we can not guarantee space is available so if you choose to reinstate your reservation, you may be waitlisted, and there is a minimum $50 fee for the transaction. As the trip approaches, it’s more fun to be planning your time on the beach with friends than wondering if you have a boarding pass to get on the plane.
What do I need to pack?
Everyone travels differently. For some, a swimsuit and a pair of sandals are about all that’s needed. Others plan to leave the beach at least some of the time and pack a bigger variety of clothes. While there are nights where you will want to dress to impress there is no reason to bring your best jewelry and your $800 watch. If there is something that your would be really upset if you lost, then it’s a good idea to leave it at home!
